Manuel Baldemor


Manuel Baldemor, born on March 26, 1947, in Paete, Laguna, Philippines, is a multi-talented Filipino artist encompassing painting, sculpture, printmaking, writing, and book illustration within his repertoire.

He is renowned for his art, which features simplified geometric forms with a distinct folk art quality. His works primarily center around his hometown, portraying its people, their daily lives, and their festive occasions.

Manuel Baldemor’s artistic contributions have gained recognition not only in the Philippines but also on an international scale. He has served as an artist-in-residence in numerous countries, including Chile, Estonia, France, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, and Portugal.

Furthermore, his art has achieved global recognition through UNICEF, which reproduces his works as greeting cards distributed worldwide.
