Proudly Philippine Made:

ART CIRCLE GALLERY CELEBRATES 27 YEARS OF PHILIPPINE ART IN SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION

Art Circle Gallery, one of the country’s premier chain of art galleries, celebrates its 27th anniversary through a special group exhibition, entitled ‘Siklo’. Featuring a line-up of 46 artists, the exhibition is an ambitious undertaking, a look into Philippine art’s journey through the years, through the artists’ canvas.  Ranging from classic to contemporary styles, masters to rock stars, the exhibit is an eclectic collection of the gallery’s roster of fine talents, an impressive portfolio spanning its decades-long establishment, and a timeline of its artistic milestones. Art Circle Gallery was founded in 1991, taking off from its mother company, Heritage Manila. From there, gallery owners and proprietors Leomark and Ma. Christina Alcantara grew the business to nine (9) branches in Metro Manila.

Proudly Filipino

The exhibit boasts an all-Filipino cast, and the exhibit’s theme aptly echoes the gallery’s vision and mission of bringing the best of Philippine Art. At the heart of Siklo is a heart that is undeniably Filipino: works that are set in folk and urban locales and settings found throughout the country; paintings and sculptures that extol our time-honored virtues; visual depictions of classic and modern Filipino themes, stories, and archetypes; artistic techniques and materials sourced from local traditions of craft and trade, a homage to excellent craftsmanship.

Notable artists included in this anniversary exhibition are: Manuel D. Baldemor, Jeff T. Dizon, Oliver Marquez, Reymar Conmigo, Adrian Morales, Christophere Pizarro, Ronald Castrillo, Joseph Bañez, Ivan Acuña, Nilo Badajos, Blaine San Luis, and Anton D. Mahilum.
